Professional Tips:
Quick clean ups!
For that quick “sponge” bath, mix 2 drops of No. 10 Evening Primrose Oil Shampoo with a half gallon of water in small tub or bowl. Wash the furnishings and “pee areas” using a sponge. Towel dry and style as usual. Your dog’s coat will feel clean and healthy again without having to bath the entire dog. – Debbie
Dilute Gloss Shampoo way down (75-1) and mix with # 16 EPO White Coat (75-1) put in a spray bottle for an great emergency clean up shampoo. This dilution is also perfect for a daily shampoo for the face of stained pets. I lightly spray a baby wipe and scrub the face and wrinkles 2 - 3 times a day, seeing great results within 2 weeks. Kathleen
Pay special attention to feet when using conditioner because it helps prevent future stains between grooming sessions. I use No. 50 the light management. I even put extra conditioner on feet and when the whites look stained if you wet them the stain comes right out!! - Brooke
Do you need to breakdown styling products you have put into your poodle or bichon’s coat? Try diluting two tablespoons of Isle Repair into our 8 oz. spray bottle. Spray this into the coat and then brush it through. This will breakdown even the strongest styling products and leave the coat feeling healthy and supple. This will give you more time before you have to bath your dog. – Ann
Super dry hair?
For intense treatment of damaged coat rinse shampoo with the warmest water apply Nutrient Masque throughout coat and wrap dog with very warm damp towels. Keep dog wrapped until the towels cool off, but not cold, at least 10 minutes. Rinse with mild temp water to seal in masque. Kathleen
If your dog’s coat feels dryer than usual, try mixing ½ pump of Isle Repair and ¼ inch of Isle Strengthen in an 8 oz spray bottle and then fill the bottle with water. Lightly mist through the coat and dry as usual.
Big volume, less time
We have found that you can dilute both Isle Thicken and Isle Revive into the same spray bottle. So, instead of having to do two separate layers you can use both together. This produces a coat with more volume and healthier body. Using them at the same time will help cut down your grooming time.
How to get a winning coat?
To start off with every week, my Pekingese get bathed in IOD shampoo No. 20 Royal Jelly shampoo. Next I use the NaturaLuxury Nutrient Masque. I leave it on for 10 mins. After I rinse that out, I use the light management conditioner. I use it diluted as a leave in cond. This is their weekly maintenance. For the show I do the NaturaLuxury Gloss Shampoo. and the Heavy Management cond., and for grooming I use the Isle Strengthen, which is a great brushing out spray - love it. Then I use Isle Thicken. I do dilute this and make it a spray - great on peke. Sometimes… I use it straight on the tail depending on the dog, I also use the Isle Style spray – Kim
My briard has had a very difficult summer and was in poor coat. We're using the Royal Jelly shampoo for broken/thin areas. He's sudsed up and I let it sit for about 5 minutes. We follow that with 2Build conditioner diluted 1:1. That sits on him for 5 minutes while I clip his nails. Everything is rinsed with cool water (not cold!) and he's spritzed with Isle Strengthen before he's force air dried with a pin brush. The difference this has made in the length, body and strength of his coat can't be matched. – Kristina
If you aren't satisfied after a few months of using the royal jelly coat supplement, try using wild salmon oil every other day instead of royal jelly. I found alternating really helped on one of my dogs, bringing extra shine. - Brooke
Richer color
My tip is that i use your black shampoo on the tan points on my liver and tan field spaniel and it really darkens them up and makes his color more rich. I shampoo him completely (with the copper coat) condition (with the nutrient masque) and then I apply the black shampoo to the tan points and let that sit for 10 minutes. – Grace
For healthier skin
For pets with "Black Skin" use undiluted and wrap in warm damp towels for a minimum of 10 minutes. After rinsing rub a small amount full strength onto bare areas. Have client do this on a daily bases to improve skin health. Kathleen
Groomers Tips for happier dogs
The Gloss Shampoo is perfect for short coated dogs, as a second shampoo, to add shine without oil. I also use as a second shampoo on all my salon hand strip customers, to ease the skin after an intense session. – Kathleen
Special “recipes” for great results
I have a black, long, wavy-haired GoldenDoodle and I have tried many shampoos that don't leave the coat smelling great for long, but I use and the groomer uses no. 10, no. 51 and no. 63 and it is amazing how shiny and smooth and untangled her coat stays. She smells great for weeks! Her coat is in the best shape and although it is pricey (more expensive than the shampoo I use) you don't need a lot and will get great results. It's worth it. – anonymous
If you need to grow coat, try using the NaturaLuxury Masque as a daily conditioning mist. Dilute 10:1 and add a pump of Isle Repair to an 8 oz. Isle of Dogs spray bottle, fill with water. Moisten the coat as much as possible daily. After bathing with any Coature product. Dilute NaturaLuxury Masque 10:1 and work it into the coat. Don’t rinse just towel dry, do this about once a month. The hair will magically appear! – Christina
